What is PinPoint?
PinPoint is an app that uses augmented-reality (AR) to overlay visual cues on your view of an indoor space. As you walk through a building, an arrow appears showing direction and distance toward your destination. It can be used to find an item in a store or to orient you in an unfamiliar building.

Here are some of the good things happening at PinPoint. We are partnering with the community to pilot our technology; we are earning awards and recognition, such as: Technology Translational R&D Award (2023), Alliance’s C² Challenge Winner (2023), Smart Futures Lab Incubator Selected Participant (2024). We are currently funded by the Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade (2024). We are in the Proof of Concept stage... so stay tuned!

Our Team.
Our team is a collaboration of academics working in Civil and Bio Engineering. We are partnering to offer a universal and basic solution for indoor navigation that is designed to support individuals living with intellectual disabilities. Our philosophy is we want our app to work for the greatest number of people possible. We can all use a little help finding our way!
